Safety Rules

• Do not enter the studio if you are feeling unwell. A flexible reschedule is allowed without any fee for the first time.
• We encourage you to sanitize your hands after entering the studio. Hand sanitizer is provided at the entrance.

Studio Space

• Each access code is assigned to an individual and cannot be shared.
• Please respect the community and thoroughly clean up after yourself. Return each workstation, machine, tooling, etc., to its original position after use, and sweep the floor as a courtesy for the next user.
• If the studio is at full capacity, each member shall only use half of the pattern table.
• Please share cutting mats if someone else needs to use them.
• Music must be kept at a minimum volume. Please be courteous and check with others before changing to a different tune.
• Personal belongings are the responsibility of the customer and member. Do not leave them unattended. Sew FYI does not accept responsibility for personal belongings that are lost, stolen, or damaged while on the studio premises.
• The studio accepts no liability for any accidents, injuries, or misadventures caused by any person while using the studio.
• Surveillance cameras are recording 24/7. Any illegal activity will be reported to the police, and violators will be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law.
• The main room is reserved for workshops during scheduled classes, except on public holidays.

Machines/Tooling

• Members are responsible for the safe use of all machines.
• Do not use a machine if you are unsure how to use it or have not taken a Machine Operation Workshop.
• All machines are available on a first-come, first-served basis. If someone is waiting for a machine, please be courteous and respect a 2-hour time limit.
• Please report to a manager if any tool or machine is not working before attempting to fix it.
• No tooling or machine can be removed from the studio.
• Storage Area/Locker
• Weekly and Monthly members are allowed to have locker space.
• If you decide to store personal items in the studio, it is at your own risk. Sew FYI does not accept responsibility for any loss, theft, or damage while on the studio premises.
• Members are required to store personal items in the proper assigned space. No bag or personal item can be left lying around the studio or in an unassigned area. Any misplaced items will be removed without notice.

Amenities

• Do not leave any food/beverages overnight or eat/drink other people’s food or beverages. Any leftovers will be discarded by the end of the day without notice.
• No drinks are allowed near machines or on cutting tables without a cup closure and coaster.
• No smoking is allowed on studio premises or inside the building.

Member’s Guest

• Members are allowed to bring guests for a maximum of 2 hours per visit per day.
• No guests are allowed after business hours (10am – 5pm) without manager approval. Guests are not allowed in the studio without your presence.
• Guests are not allowed to use any machine or tool. They will need to get their own membership to use the facility.

Any violations of the rules set above will result in the immediate termination of membership, and additional fees may be required.
