Draping Workshop

Fashion draping is an important part of fashion design. Draping is the process of positioning and pinning fabric on a dress form to develop the structure of a garment design. After draping, the fabric is removed from the dress form and used to create the sewing pattern for the garment.

This class teaches aspiring designers or homegrown clothes-makers the basic technique of draping - a core garment construction skill that will allow you to start making your own clothes immediately. In this workshop you'll learn how to create a bodice muslin drape and transfer it to pattern paper.

It is recommended to the students who already took the Introduction to the Home Sewing Machine.
