  • What are your business hours?
    Monday through Friday from 10:00am to 5:00pm. Saturday by appointment only. We will be closed on public holidays. The studio is accessible 24/7/365 for the weekly and monthly members.
  • Where do I park at your studio?
    Limited parking outside the building. Free street parking is available in front of the building and along the east of 2nd Street. We highly recommend arriving 15 minutes prior to scheduled workshops to allow time to park and sign in.
  • How does the Membership Pass work?
    Our Membership Pass is used to access our well equipped studio and all sewing tools to work on your project. Check out the Membership Types on our website.
  • Can I bring a friend to the studio once I am a member?
    Friend or client is welcome up to 2 hours max a day and only during business hours. He/She is not allowed to use the facility. If he/she uses the facility, there will be a charge up to $395. Please email us in advance prior to your friend/client's arrival.
  • Do you teach how to use industry sewing machines?
    Yes, we do! We offer one-on-one In-depth demonstrations to focus on your needs. This includes Single, Overlock, Cover-Stitch, and Serger. Please note every brand and machine models may differ but they work in very similar ways.
  • I want to be a clothing designer and start my own line. How do I start?
    Please give us a aall or email us for a free consultation. We shall provide you with recommendations to suit your needs and budget.
  • Do you have anyone that can help me create patterns and sewing?
    Yes! we do. We have an experienced and talented In-House Tailor that provides custom made items. If you need a tutorial, it is $60 per hour and 2 hours minimum. We recommend making reservations 48 hours in advance.
  • How do your workshops work?
    We offer different workshops to cater to an individual’s goal. Please check out our Classes Menu to see which workshop fits you the most. No matter what workshop you take, our experienced instructor will guide you through every step. Our workshops are designed for all levels. We offer workshops everyday. You can sign up on our website and reach out to us via email or phone. If you are not sure what workshop to take, we are an email away.
  • Which workshop should I take if I am new to sewing/haven’t sewn for a while?
    Introduction of Home Sewing Workshop is perfect for you! The workshop introduces sewing machine parts, winding a bobbin, threading the machine, and simple construction techniques. This workshop builds a strong foundation for you. You can always take the additional workshops whenever you are ready to learn new skills.
  • What is your workshop’s cancellation policy?
    You can cancel or reschedule 24 hours in advance of the workshop. A $25 fee will be charged if you cancel or reschedule within 24 hours before the workshop. There is no credit or refund for a missed workshop after the scheduled hours.
  • What if I am late to a workshop?
    Instructors will only be present during the workshop’s hours to offer instruction or help with your project. If you are late, we won’t be able to make up the time, so please be prompt.
  • What if I miss one series of a 5-series workshop?
    Multi-series workshops are designed to learn at your own pace. You pick your own workshop day. If you are unable to make it, simply reschedule for free within 24 hours before the workshop. A $25 fee will be charged if cancel or reschedule within 24 hours before the workshop. There is no credit or refund for a missed workshop after the scheduled hours.
  • Do you offer any workshops to kids?
    Of course, we love kids! However, we only accept children who are at least nine years old to participate the Sewing Workshop. Kids 15 or older can join other workshops. Children below the limit are recommended to take Personal Workshop for the best results.
  • Do I have to bring my own sewing machine or can I use yours?
    You can do either one. If you have a sewing machine, we recommend you to use your own. This way, you can master your own machine and practice more at home. Practice makes perfect! If you don’t have a machine, you may use our studio's machine without any charge.
  • What do I need to bring to workshop?
    We have a variety of sewing tools available to use in our studio, including threads in assorted color. If you have a specific need in tools and materials then you may bring your own. For 5 Sewing Series Workshop, we charge $10 material fee for each project. Or you may bring your own fabrics.
  • How long does it take to be really good at sewing?
    Sewing is a skill to master by practice. The more you practice, the quicker you’ll advance. If you stick with it, you’ll be whipping up your own garments in no time!
  • Do you sell sewing machines? What kind of sewing machine do you recommend?
    We don’t sell sewing machines at our studio. We recommend you come to our studio to try the different types of machines we have and find out which works best for you and your needs.
  • Do you sell sewing supplies at your studio?
    We provide most of the basic tools you need to sew in our studio, so you don’t have to buy. We may sell limited sewing supplies for your sewing need.
  • Do you sell fabric?
    We have only muslin and limited fabric available to sell. Please note that the Fashion District is less than 2 miles from us and the market offers a variety of selections.
  • Do you offer alteration and repair services?
    Yes, we do. Please email the pictures of piece and change details for an estimated quote.
  • How do I hear about about your news, events, or promotions?
    You can sign up for our newsletter. We send out newsletters for upcoming events, exciting new classes, projects and any new equipment, tools, etc.
  • Do you rent your space for private parties, events, or filming?
    We do, as long as it does not interfere with a previously scheduled classes. Please email or text/call us for the price and date you are looking for.
